It is a program with a preventive nature whose purpose is the normalization of family functioning, ensuring the permanence of the minor in their environment, through a specific treatment, which allows the modification of family dynamics to reduce existing risk factors, making them function autonomously. and adequate.

The objectives of the program are:
Reduce the risk factors to avoid the separation of the child from the family.

Law 39/2006, of December 14, on the Promotion of Personal Autonomy and Care for people in a situation of dependency (published in BOE No. 299, of December 15, 2006), regulates the basic conditions for the promotion of personal autonomy and care for people in a situation of dependency through the creation of the System for Autonomy and Care for Dependency (SAAD), in which all those Public Administrations with competences in the matter collaborate and participate.

The Coín Municipal School for Families had its beginnings in the early 1990s with a small group of mothers who began to meet at the initiative of the Camino para Renacer Association. With more than 25 years of history, hundreds of fathers and mothers in our municipality have received training and have become aware of the wide capacity of influence they have over their children, and of all the resources they can learn on this training platform. aimed at preventing social risk behaviors among the youngest.

The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child proclaimed in 1989 the right of minors to participate. The Children's Council of Coín - made up of about twenty boys and girls aged between 5 and 12 years old belonging to all the Educational Centers of the municipality and coordinated by two technicians from the City Council - is part of the broader framework of the proposals of the Italian pedagogue Francesco Tonucci around the so-called City of Children (Tonucci, 1997, p. 2003).

Guided school tours
The Guided Tour of the City Council of Coín is a free program that seeks to bring the school population closer in a pleasant way to different proposals in the areas of citizenship, environment and heritage. For this, three possible itineraries have been established: municipal nursery + adjoining park, new and old Town Hall and heritage (Santa María convent, old town and San Juan church).
