La Mari de Chambao, Soraya, Julio Benavente, Lidia Gómez or the local artists Alejados and Dvuelta are some of the concerts this year. The festivities will once again focus on the Alameda with activities for the youngest at the Municipal School of Music and Dance. The Coín City Council has presented the programming of the Patron Saint Festivities in honor of Nuestra señora de la Fuensanta, Patron Saint of Coín, for this 2022. Said event will be held in the same format as 2019, since its program was reduced due to the pandemic , and where most of the musical and festive activity will take place in the Alameda from August 11 to 15. "These are our festivities to reunite with family and friends in a relaxed and festive atmosphere to enjoy our city and our traditions", highlighted the mayor Francisco Santos, who was accompanied by the Councilor for Culture and Celebrations, Dori Luque, to announce said programming. “We have prepared some patron saint festivities with a very fresh and entertaining format, just like we did in 2019, where there will also be water activities for the little ones and DJ performances for young people at night after the concerts”, explained Luque. The festivities will begin, as is the tradition, with the parade that announces and proclaims the festivities together with the Queen and ladies and Mister and gentlemen this year, which will take place on Thursday, August 11. Families can now sign up at the Town Hall for the boys and girls who wish to participate in the parade this year. At the end, in the Alameda square, there will be a proclamation offered by Pepi Fernández Cordero, a teacher of Spanish dance and flamenco. Several generations of boys and girls from Coín have already passed through her classes. The poster, for its part, is the work of the coína Inmaculada Enríquez, where the image of the Patron Saint and Mayor Perpetua of Coín, the Virgen de la Fuensanta, takes on a special role. This same day, will be the Day without Noise and Children's Day at the fairgrounds where all the fairground attractions are located. “This year we have a great poster and a great preacher, a person who knows our traditions, our folklore and our flamenco”, the councilor from Coin has valued.

As for the performances, La Mari de Chambao will offer a compilation concert of Chambao's 20 years together with the entire group on Friday, August 12. It will be in the Alameda where we can also enjoy the performances of the artist Soraya on Sunday; the young Julio Benavente, on Thursday; or the local groups Dvuelta, Alejados and Dúo Moon. Other performances are those of the Clave Latina group, which will animate the night or the artist Lidia Gómez, who will entertain the Mayor's afternoon, or the performances of DJs for all the young public to enjoy in the square with Dj Dagoro, Dj José Lucena, Dj Toby Solís or Dj Tony Galiano. Between the performances, there will also be time for magic with the show by José Tejada. For the little ones, in addition to the attractions, there will also be water attractions on Saturday and Sunday, such as the great water slide, and at the Municipal School of Music and Dance there will be youth parties with foam and lots of surprises. Fruit and Vegetable Contest and Huevo de Toro Tomato Auction Finally, on August 15, as tradition dictates, the Fruit and Vegetable Contest of the City Council's Agriculture and Livestock Area will take place, as well as the Auction Contest for the best batch of Huevo de Toro tomato that celebrates its tenth edition. All this will take place in the San Agustín Park as it was held before the pandemic. In the afternoon, Coín experiences one of its most special moments: the open-air mass of the Patron Saint and Perpetual Mayor of Coín, the Virgen de la Fuensanta, which is later paraded through the streets of the city. "In these days we live with our neighbors very special and emotional moments because in August and around our Patron Saint we usually gather family and friends and enjoy these holidays together", Francisco Santos assured. Together with the person in charge of Celebrations, they have encouraged all citizens to attend the different events in these festivities that begin each day with the fall of the Sun to enjoy an intense cultural, musical and recreational program from August 11 to 15.
