The mayor Francisco Santos held a meeting this morning with the manager of Tourism and Planning Costa del Sol, Antonio Díaz, to present the tourist benefits of the city and include it in the tourist offer of the Costa del Sol. Promote Coin to tourism that arrives throughout the year to the Costa del Sol. That is the objective of the City Council and the mayor of the city, Francisco Santos, to continue attracting tourism to the capital of the Guadalhorce Valley. For this reason, he has ensured that the tourist offer of Coín will be offered thanks to a joint strategy with the Costa del Sol Tourist Board to all tourism that arrives on the Costa del Sol. This was stated by the councilor from Coin after holding a meeting with the manager of Tourism and Planning Costa del Sol, Antonio Díaz, in the Consistory of Coin. "We have put on the table the common strategy that we will be able to carry out over the coming months to include Coin in this tourist offer on the Costa del Sol with the aim of promoting tourism and the economic reactivation of this sector in our city" , has explained. This is the first working meeting with the current manager of this entity of the Malaga Provincial Council, Antonio Díaz, and it represents a great step to continue working together both administrations for a common benefit. In this meeting, which was also attended by the Councilor for Tourism of the Coin City Council, Cristóbal Ortega, the different tourist strategies have been shared to go hand in hand and that Coin is nourished by the millions of tourists who visit the city every year. Costa del Sol. "It has also served to set a date for us, which will take place from next September, to hold a new meeting but this time with all the technicians and so that they know the full offer of our city," Santos pointed out. . After this visit, the public tourism company of the Costa del Sol will have the necessary information to include the tourist offer of Coín in its planning. "This is going to greatly enhance the presence of tourists in our city and will also mean an economic reactivation for this sector in Coín," he added. The councilor from Coin stressed that "Coin has a lot to offer" to the Costa del Sol and is "the perfect complement" to sun and beach tourism, offering alternatives inland "a very few kilometers from the coast." “We have a very important offer of inland, nature, sports, cultural and gastronomic tourism and it is already in great demand by tourism that also reaches the Costa del Sol”, he has had an impact. In this sense, he recalled that in 2019 more than 13 million tourists passed through the province of Malaga, something that means that the inland municipalities "have a lot to offer" to offer an alternative and that the number of tourists who arrive at the cape of the year continue to grow "because there are still many cities like Coín that you can get to know and visit". Therefore, Francisco Santos has described the meeting as very positive, thanking Díaz for the visit to the city, whom he has summoned to meet again in the coming months. “I am sure that this work that we are doing to promote and promote tourism in our city will soon see its fruits”, he concluded.
