Coín will celebrate its traditional Royal Livestock Fair from August 5 to 7

The Royal Livestock Fair of Coín returns from August 5 to 7 and does so with force, enthusiasm and "with great enthusiasm". The Coín City Council has presented the poster and program of this 2022 fair together with farmers, groups and collaborating companies. The mayor of the city, Francisco Santos, has assured that he feels "very proud of this Royal Fair" that returns after two years. “We should feel very proud because in addition to being one of the oldest cattle fairs in Spain, it is one of the few that is maintained. Not only do we maintain it, but we improve and reinforce it every year”, he highlighted. Thus, he wanted to thank the work of the entire team of the City Council's Agriculture and Livestock Area, "and thanks to Asacab Coín, all the farmers and all the sponsors and collaborators of the city." In the presentation, in addition to the councilor from Coin, the Councilor for Agriculture, Antonio González; the president of Asaja Malaga, Baldomero Bellido; the director of the Cártama Regional Agrarian Office, Isabel Serrano, as well as members of Asacab Coín, El Rocío Equestrian Center, Matagallar Association of Photographers, ranchers and collaborating companies. From August 5 to 7, the programming of this Royal Livestock Fair of Coín is extended, which returns with an intense program of activities in the surroundings of the banks of the Pereilas river. Friday will be the first day of the fair when the enclosure opens and all the livestock that are there will be the real protagonist. "We have developed an intense program with the objective that all citizens enjoy the cattle, give them visibility and that they know that the cattle farm exists," explained González. In this sense, he has highlighted the great commitment that has been made by the City Council to bring to Coín "a quality equestrian exhibition". And it is that the fair will have equestrian exhibitions, both on Friday and Saturday, cowboy dressage, high school, long reins and classic. "I want to thank all the farmers and friends, Asacab Coín, and all those who have intervened to make this possible," he added.

One of the big bets this year at the Royal Livestock Fair has been to have a great equestrian exhibition in Coín. Important names such as Rafael Arcos, Spanish dressage champion, will participate in this event along with numerous other names of professional riders such as José Rodríguez Cívico, two-time Spanish champion in working equitation. José Rodríguez, from the El Rocío Equestrian Center, has stated that riders such as El Chamo, Rocío Ramírez, Santiago Amador or José Carlos Guerrero will also participate. "There will be a lot of quality in the equestrian exhibitions on the two days of the fair," he said. At the same time, during this Livestock Fair there will also be a braiding workshop that will be held by the El Rocío Equestrian Center on Saturday morning, the equestrian exhibitions continue in the afternoon and the agro-livestock contest will take place on Sunday. In addition, this year the 1st Photography Contest organized by the City Council in collaboration with the Matagallar Association of Photographers will be held.
