The Noche al Raso de Coín is one of the star events of Coín's cultural programme. It is a celebration of culture in capital letters, where theatre, dance, circus, music, exhibitions, street market, projections and artistic installations fill the town centre from dusk until the early hours of the morning.

The street becomes a stage, a gallery and a canvas for the enjoyment of locals and visitors alike.

9.00 p.m. PLAZA ESCAMILLA_INAUGURATION URBAN INTERVENTION “Flores al Raso” by Paula Lucena Méndez

This local artist's works include painting, sewing, installations and interventions in public spaces. She seeks to pay homage to tradition, folkloric symbolism and our cultural roots. His work proposes a re-reading of the traditional from a contemporary point of view, creating a bridge between past and future generations.
 

11.00 p.m. PLAZA BERMÚDEZ DE LA RUBIA_MUSIC “Suzette & more”.

Suzette & More, a group from Malaga with hits from Soul, Funk and Rock. Led by Suzette Moncrief, a New Yorker of Puerto Rican descent who has lived on the Costa del Sol since childhood and has shared the stage with Richard Ray Farrell, Tonky de la Peña, Ñaco Goñi, Francisco Simón and Raimundo Amador, among others.

8.00 p.m. LA CARIDAD_ INAUGURATION and PERFORMANCE “La Veda” Verónica Ruth Frías and Niche Ramírez

This interdisciplinary work poses a profound reflection on the relationship between human beings and nature, addressing issues such as care, regeneration and the necessary balance for a fair coexistence, both with the natural environment and between people.

9.00 p.m. PARQUE SAN AGUSTÍN_ CLOWN-MUSIC “Ab Libitum” by Lapso Producciones

Who said classical music was boring? Lapso makes the audience enjoy the beauty of the universal pieces that the actors/musicians perform, through humour, surprise and the visual and sonorous attraction provided by their unique instruments: the Tuboidal Triptychophone, the Vidriolín and Vidrioncello Copodivarius, or the Olivetti percussions, among others.

10.15 p.m. PLAZA ALAMEDA_ HULA HOPS “361º” by Proyecto Tránsito

One-man show of circus and movement in which the masterful manipulation of hula hoop fuses with dance and performance. Beautiful and colourful images are linked together and lead to the incorporation of a mysterious contraption, a kind of giant spherical cage. 
11.15 PM ANTIGUO CONVENTO_FLAMENCO José García Vílchez “El Petro” (vocals) and Ismael Rueda (guitar)

José García Vílchez “El Petro” is the winner of the 5th Concurso de Cante Flamenco de Coín (2024). He has a perfect command of a wide range of flamenco singing styles and has won awards in other important competitions. Ismael Rueda, for his part, has shown himself to be one of the most promising young talents on the flamenco guitar in recent years.

Swing band that recreates the golden age of vocal jazz, the popular music of the 20s and 30s in North America. The band originated in Seville in 2008 and has a consolidated career. The key to their success lies in making this genre less elitist and bringing it closer to all audiences. Whether within our borders or at festivals in the United States, Sweden, Italy, Malaysia, Romania, Denmark and Greece, O Sister! make the universality of a music that shines even more brightly live.

Swing Out Studio is a school of traditional Jazz dances of the 30's located in Malaga and directed by Maxi Prado, fervent disseminator of Lindy Hop in Latin America and Europe since '98, trained as a dancer with references such as Frankie Manning, Norma Miller and Down Hampton. He currently stands out in Europe and Latin America teaching classes, workshops and shows in different Swing festivals and events.
