Presentation of the book ‘Vivace Ritardando’ by Roque Naranjo Nuñez
Local author Roque Naranjo will present his novel “Vivace Ritardando” this Friday at 8pm in the courtyard of the former Santa María de la Encarnación Convent.
The new publication tells the story of Javier Cerezo, a renowned pianist from Malaga, in the twilight of his life, when he finds himself caught up in an unexpected symphony: that of a country in crisis, a faltering Europe, and a personal life plagued by ghosts that resurface with force. Amidst melodies, memories and revelations, he faces uncomfortable questions that resonate in the conscience of an entire society.
With a sharp blend of humour, irony and social criticism, Vivace Ritardando portrays the pulse of today's Spain. A novel as provocative as it is lucid. Set in Barcelona, Madrid, Malaga and Marbella, Roque weaves a contemporary plot, with musical flashes and profound reflections on old age, love, ethics and history.
A novel that invites you to think, smile and, above all, never stop questioning.
